Week 19: 365

Week 19!
October 31, 2009: Halloween! Weston was Brobee from Yo Gabba Gabba for Halloween! It was a little drizzly so Mike just pushed him around for about an hour in his stroller. He got lots of candy though!

November 1, 2009: Nanna and her grandbabies! I am so blessed to have such an amazing mother in law!

November 2, 2009: Weston is currently discovering the joys of condiments and dipping his food. On this day, I tried giving him ketchup, then mustard and then homemade pesto on his chicken. He settled for the pesto and absolutely loved it. Mike is such a good chef!

November 3, 2009: Grayson, passed out, with his new pacifier. He's finally taking Nuks!

November 4, 2009: Grayson's first time grabbing a toy all on his own. He was absolutely in love with this little frog I bought at Target. He laughed and cooed at it all night.

November 5, 2009: I showed Weston how to make music with his links by blowing into them like you would a bottle. I tried to get a shot of him trying to make the sound, but toddlers never cooperate when you need them to...

November 6, 2009: My sister in law Meredith came over Friday to dye and cut mine and Kristin's hair. Aren't we just gorgeous? Haha.

Week 18:365

Week 18!
October 24, 2009: Adelle and Kristin had joint birthday bash/fall fun night on this night. Weston and his musical self, was of course drawn to the Guitar Hero game!

October 25, 2009: At the end of the Harvest Hoedown at church Sunday night, they had a bonfire as they do every year. I love getting all cozy and warm with my family.

October 26, 2009: Weston is sure to be into something if I find he's too quiet for any period of time. This time it was the wipes...again. He balled each one up and put them in his shape sorter bin. Here he is trying to put them all back for me. How nice. :)

October 27, 2009: Weston is loving sitting in big boy chairs these days. I have to watch him with this chair though because it tips over pretty easily. Mike and I are planning on getting him a table and chair set for Christmas so he can sit and eat his cookies and watch tv without me being worried the whole time!

October 28, 2009: I think Weston knows how much Grayson hates to be in his carseat. He always tries to comfort him by giving him his ninnie or rocking his carseat back and forth. What a good big brother!
October 29, 2009: Weston "helping" his Moo-Moo (my mom) with the dishes....

October 30, 2009: Mike and I took the boys to Spring Meadow Farms to pick out pumpkins. We tried to get Weston to do the hay maze but he wasn't having it! Maybe next year.

Week 17:365

Week 17!
October 17, 2009: Every night we give the boys a bath and then I bring Grayson back downstairs to feed him and get him to sleep. He usually sleeps on the couch until Mike and I are ready to go to bed and then Mike carries him up to his bassinet (since that's a Daddy's job :)

October 18, 2009: At lunch on Sunday Weston thought he would taste a blue crayon...yum! Crayon and french fries...what a combo!

October 19, 2009: Who says you need a daughter to play hairdresser?? Weston was having a blast "brushing" my hair and then trying to put my headband on me and then himself.

October 20, 2009: Weston has finally discovered the joys of climbing! I love coming into the living room and finding him sitting on the couch like a big boy watching his soaps (i.e. Yo Gabba Gabba)

October 21, 2009: While waiting for Nanna on at church on Wednesday Weston and I walked around the church. I picked a dandelion and showed Weston how to blow the seeds off. Here he is about to give it his best shot.

October 22, 2009: Thursday nights have officially been declared Pizza Night at the Ferrante household. We make our own crust and everything! Here is my finished pepperoni pizza and Mike working on his mushroom pizza (with whole wheat crust). I can't wait until the boys are older and we can all make pizza together!

October 23, 2009: Since the rain canceled our trip to the pumpkin patch, I decided to get out the 3-6 month winter clothes out for Grayson since he's already too big for his 3 month clothes. I don't even understand how we accumulated so many clothes (cause I know darn well I didn't pay for any of it). And this is ONLY the 3-6 month stuff!!! I put back 7 boxes of clothes for later!!

Week 16: 365

Week 16!
October 10, 2009: I found this costume among some clothes that were given to me by a friend. Weston loved wearing it around the house and to the grocery store!

October 11, 2009: Grayson was dedicated at church on this Sunday. Mike's grandparents came down to celebrate the occasion. Here's an awesome picture of Ed, Hon, Weston and Grayson hanging out on the porch.
October 12, 2009: Weston has recently developed a love for scribbling. So far I've been able to keep the scribbling on paper. He also loves to multi-task, watching TV and drawing at the same time! )
October 13, 2009: This week I started babysitting our next door neighbor Dylan. He's 6 1/2 months old and such a good boy! Weston thought it would be sweet to give Dylan a kiss with a mouth full of twizzler. Dylan couldn't be happier about having a half-chewed piece of twizzler stuck on his head.
October 14, 2009: A gift in the mail from my sister Fawne. 'Nuff said. :)

October 15, 2009: Weston's favorite game! Being thrown all over the couch. He couldn't stop laughing this night while Mike tossed him over and over again! It was adorable.

October 16, 2009: At Read and Play again! This time we let Weston draw since, as previously told, he loves scribbling now! It looks like Mike had more fun with the crayons though. :)

Week 15: 365

After reviewing my past 365 posts, I realized that I skipped (in number only) week 6! So here's the real Week 15!!

October 3, 2009: I went to Melting Pot for Kristin O'Toole's birthday so Mike was home with both Weston and Grayson. While eating my fondue goodness I received this picture text of Weston. Apparently, Weston was eating a Kid's Cuisine with pizza and brownie and decided he would dip his pizza in the chocolate! This is what happens when daddy's in charge.... :)


October 4, 2009: This Sunday afternoon was so beautiful! We really enjoyed our drive home from church. (Nevermind the smears from my windshield!)

October 5, 2009: I spent the day cleaning out my clothes closet, putting away maternity clothes, getting rid of old clothes, etc. I came across these pants that I absolutely LOVED! So now, this is my first weight goal...to fit back into these pants! Slim in 6...here I come!

October 6, 2009: Both Weston and Grayson got shots at the doctor's on this day. They both handled it pretty well for the most part. Here is Grayson with his bandages...poor guy!

October 7, 2009: Weston had such a good time playing in the spice cabinet while I cleaned up the kitchen this week. He can't get anything open yet, so I let him at it for a while!

October 8, 2009: Again, Weston wanted to help me clean up after dinner so I let him sit up on the counter and play while I did dishes. Don't worry, I kept a very close eye on him!

October 9, 2009: I had a bunch of black walnuts on the back porch drying...and the squirrels have stolen about half of what I had! Here's the evidence they left behind!

Week 14: 365

Week 14!!!
September 26, 2009: We went down to Glen Burnie to visit Mike's dad on his 53rd birthday. Mike's dad and stepmom live in North Carolina but are in the process of moving back to Maryland. This was also the first time they met Grayson. Here is Weston with Mike and his Papa. You can really see how much they all look alike here even though the picture isn't that great.

September 27, 2009: I love Sunday afternoons because of the time we get to spend with Mike's mom and just relax! We stopped by KFC for lunch on this day and Weston decided he wanted his Nanna's drink! Clearly he's no expert at drinking from a cup! Luckily there wasn't much left in it.

September 28, 2009: I never liked these sort of pants with the picture on the butt. I always thought it was pretty tacky...that was until I put them on Grayson (never did it with Weston) and saw how stinkin' cute they look on when the model is sleeping with his butt sticking up in the air! I just couldn't resist taking a picture of Grayson's behind as he slept after a long morning at the doctor's office!
September 29, 2009: Weston is always wanting to do everything that Grayson does. Luckily I have two of these mats because Weston was pretty much trying to push Grayson off so he could get on. I laid down the second one for Weston and he stayed on pretty much just long enough for me to get this picture. I love it though....and, as you can see, I'm getting pretty addicted to dressing them alike!

September 30, 2009: Ok, I realize how gross this is. I had a cute little picture of Weston all ready to post, but then I decided that we need to capture the un-cute photos every now and then. I took this picture with my phone to send to Mike so he could be just as astonished at this mess as I was. I'm using it for my 365 picture so that maybe one day, when I get baby fever, I can see this one moment caught in time and snap out of it! Haha. But seriously, this was the worst blow out I've ever dealt with....ever.

October 1, 2009: I'm planning on going out with friends this weekend baby-less so we've been trying to get Grayson to take breastmilk from the bottle. Our first attempt definitely failed but now he's getting the hang of it! This was the first time Mike has ever fed Grayson. It was such a sweet moment. Hopefully, it will go well this Saturday!

October 2, 2009: North Carroll High School had their homecoming game this night so Mike and I decided to go and support the team! This was also Weston's first football game! Of course he didn't really care about the game but he had a lot of fun playing with Adelle and Mark. Mike was taking this picture and you can't see, but I was holding Grayson-trying to shield him from the rain. And that's Kristin next to me! She was holding her Coach purse, shielding it from the rain as well! Haha. I also think it's pretty great that the kid in the background is posing for our picture! GO NCHS! :)

2 month check up

Grayson had his 2 month check up today except he's not exactly 2 months yet so it didn't go as planned. He was supposed to have his shots but since he's 4 days away from being 2 months they couldn't do it. Apparently those 4 days make a big difference, especially when Grayson goes to school and they see that they were done too early. That being said, next week Weston and Grayson will both be getting shots. Weston for his 15 month and Gray for his 2 month.

The doctor still checked up on Grayson while we were there. He is a whopping 14 pounds already which puts him in the 97th percentile for weight. He's also 2 feet long putting him the 90th percentile for height. The doctor said he's doing very well with muscle control and everything. He was pretty impressed that nursing alone was meeting Grayson's caloric needs since he is so big. That makes you feel so good as a mother (even though there's not really much you can do to make "good" or "bad" milk). With Weston I never made enough and I prayed that it would be different this time and it seems to be that way! That's really all we found out today. I'm not really looking forward to next week when I'll have 2 screaming boys but I'll have to suck it up. :)
